Harold:More like a welcomingcommittee. It's the big day.
Roman: It's all the color of Yale, you see?
Blair: That's just what I need toperkme up. I couldn't sleep a wink.

Serena: Yeah, yeah, and in the meantime, at least our parents are keeping it on the down low.
keeping it on the down low: to keep something very secret; not tell another person. e.g. Alright, I'll tell you but keep it on the down low...
Lily: Well, now that this is all out in the open, maybe we can stopsneakingaround. I mean, we've had the awkward run-inand it isn't so bad. I don't know why we thought this would be so weird.
Dan: Let's leave now.

Jack: By the way, don't be alarmed, but, uh, our stock might take a little dip today. I'm still adjusting to a learningcurve.
Chuck: No, what you're doing is trying too hard. You're obviously not cut outfor the job, which is why Bart never let you out of the outback.
learning curve:refers to the graphical relation between the amount of learning and the time it takes to learn.
cut out: To suit or fit by nature. You’re not cut out for…, 你天生就不是…的料
Dan: Well, I've heard a lot about you, although I wasn't expectingyou to look so...
Carr: Out of place?
Dan: No, I was gonna say "young." You could pass for a student.

Lily: I'm not scared of you, Jack.
Jack: You should be.
Lily: You're high and you're not thinking clearly. You need to think about therepercussionsof what you're doing.
high:这是一个很容易被误用的单词，虽然中文里我们常说“昨天玩的很high”，用high来表示cheerful, exciting之类的意思，但是在口语中，其实high是表示under the influence of alcohol or drugs，指的是因为喝酒、吸毒而使人很兴奋。

Episode Title: You've Got Yale
Refers to the 1998 american romantic comedy movie, You've Got Mail starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Lily: Did you really try to buyanthraxwith his credit card?
Chuck: The black market isn't what it used to be.
Lily: And you got him on Megan's list?
Chuck: If only his apartment were a few blocks closer to a playground.
Eric: And the queen of the night sings this kick-assaria, "Der Holle Rache Kocht in Meinem Herze," "the vengeance of hell boils in my heart." It reaches a high "f” that never happens in operas.
Der Holle Rache kocht in meinem herze:我的心沸腾着地狱的复仇(the vengeance of hell boils in my heart,红色部分为德文，这里是这些德文单词的英文对照翻译),又叫做“仇恨的火焰”，它是花腔女高音咏叹调上数一数二的名曲。
True love and betrayal, revenge and more revenge,a heroine with an impossible goal...if only mozart had lived on the upper east side."这些内容都和歌剧本身的情节有关联，有兴趣的话可以去google一些相关的内容。
