Lesson 13talks about a traveling group of musicians called The Greenwood Boys. The Greenwood Boys were a group of pop singers, but nowadays, it is more popular for muscians to be called a band. When a band is on tour, it travels and performs in many different places so that local fans can come to the shows. The band usually travels in a tour bus.
Fans who really love the band and know a lot about the band members are called groupies. Groupies usually have lots of band memorabilia, like T-shirts, jewelry, CDs, and books about the band, and they’ll be at front of the line waiting to enter the venue where the band plays.
A music festival is a popular place to see lots of bands in a short amount of time. A music festival be anywhere from one to ten days long, and people pay per day, instead of per concert. Music festivals can be held outside in the summertime, or in arenas or concert halls in the winter.
